To Be Played At Maximum Volume

Last week’s Power Pop bonanza coincided with a multitude of non-blog related activities, from birthdays to projects. Luckily this busy spell seems to be over, because this week’s Glam Rock offering may prove to be quite demanding. It even comes with instructions for listening!

Waving the flag for Glam Rock is David Bowie with his 1972 concept album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. This record tells the tale of Bowie’s alter-ego, a rock star named Ziggy Stardust, who flies in from Mars with a tale of hope for the declining human race. We will be listening to Ziggy Stardust all week and posting our reviews on Sunday. Enjoy!

Each week Fran and Dave explore a new genre from the Music Tree by choosing an album to represent it. We write about the genre or artist during the week, and post our reviews on Sunday. Want to join the musical adventure? Listen along with our Spotify playlist, and subscribe by clicking the link in the sidebar to get an email every time there’s a new post.
