I hope you like jamming too

A new week calls for a new genre, and this week’s branch of the Music Tree takes it a step further by providing three genres in one. It is Reggae, Dub, Ska week, and Dave and I will be listening to Exodus by Bob Marley and the Wailers. Exodus was written and recorded in London during Bob Marley’s self-imposed exile from Jamaica; he moved to London shortly after a failed assassination attempt. This record contains several international hit singles and makes regular appearances on those top albums of all time lists. Reggae, Dub, Ska is quite different to the genres we have listened to so far, so it should be an interesting week!

Each week Fran and Dave explore a new genre from the Music Tree by choosing an album to represent it. We write about the genre or artist during the week, and post our reviews on Sunday. Want to join the musical adventure? Listen along with our Spotify playlist, and subscribe by clicking the link in the sidebar to get an email every time there’s a new post.
