The Starting Gun

Fran and Dave’s Musical Adventure is back on after a well-earned rest. We’re sticking with the fortnightly reviews and hopefully that should allow a little time to add some extra articles or Top Five lists too!

We restart our journey in 1987 with Guns N’ Roses’ Appetite For Destruction, representing Hair Rock on the Music Tree.  The 80’s was a time of big rock bands with big hair cuts playing big stadiums. Guns N’ Roses were one of the best, and have recently been nominated for a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Guns N' Roses - Appetite For Destruction

Each fortnight Fran and Dave explore a new genre from the Music Tree by choosing an album to represent it. We write about the genre or artist during the fortnight, and post our reviews on Sunday. Want to join the musical adventure? Listen along with our Spotify playlist, and subscribe by clicking the link in the sidebar to get an email every time there’s a new post.
